Global social and environmental challenges, regulatory and reputational risks, market scandals and new market opportunities make environmental, social and governance information (ESG) a data source of growing importance. In this context, the integration of ESG information in the investment process chain and in valuation is essential.

Thanks to our EFFAS membership we offer you, in joint effort with Febelfin Academy, the possibility to enrol for a European certified ESG programme (CESGA – Certified Environmental, Social and Governance Analyst).

New : Thanks to an agreement between EFFAS and EFRAG, CESGA 4.1 is entirely ESRS compliant.
In 2022, the European Commission tasked EFRAG with developing the draft European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and by December 2023, the first set of standards was officially published. This initiative aligns with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), enhancing the integrity of sustainability information provided to capital markets and stakeholders. Thanks to an agreement between EFFAS and EFRAG, CESGA 4.1 is ESRS compliant.  It will be an important step in the evolution of corporate reporting to be compliant with European regulations, where corporate reporting is on an equal footing with financial reporting. Corporate reporting will provide the capital markets and other stakeholders with high quality sustainability information on environmental, social and governance issues.

Why should you follow the CESGA program?

With CESGA professionals are trained to incorporate the impact of ESG factors into their financial analysis, adjust the valuation, and formulate an investment decision. CESGA is a practical training programme, with a lot of examples in both research and portfolio management. Participants will develop a solid framework for ESG-integrated due diligence, fostering a more thorough and strategic approach to sustainable investing.

The CESGA® program is a 100% self-study program and structured in 10 modules (approximately between 120h and 150h of online training). Each module contains e-seminars, course slides, sources / readings.

The course is aimed at all investment professionals who are increasingly involved in ESG issues. Other professionals such as corporate sustainability officers, investor relations, auditors and consultants will also find this course of interest in developing a better understanding of the capital markets’ needs for ESG information. In summary, it is ideal for asset owners, asset managers, portfolio managers, corporate advisors, financial planners and family offices who want to take a holistic approach to ESG integration.

Practical information

Registration
After you have filled in the registration form (or via the 'Apply now' button at the top of this page) you will get an invoice. Once we received the payment we will complete your registration and grant you 6 months access the learning platform.

Exams
Upcoming exams will be organised on:
- 27 June 2025 (registration until 16/5/25)
- 26 September 2025 (registration from 26/3 until 17/8/25)
- 12 December 2025 (registration from 12/6 until 11/11/25)

Price & Certification
The price for the online course and the certification exam comes to 1 850 EUR. The registration to the CESGA program includes the access to the learning platform, the examination right on the day confirmed at the moment of registration and the certificate. You receive the certificate after having successfully passed the exam.
