In 2019, the Award ceremony took place at the KBC Group headquarters in Brussels. In the build-up to the proclamation of the 2019 laureates, all present were entertained by Mrs. Claire Lavery, Executive Director Asia & Europe at Rivel Research Group. Mrs. Lavery shared insights from Rivel Research market surveys of (international) buy-side representatives on relevant issues like Mifid II, Shareholder Activism, ESG, Passive Investing and Investor Relations Practices.
In 2019, the overall winner of the Award for Best Financial Communication went to Sipef. Sipef operates agro-industrial activities in the production of oil palm products, i.e. fresh fruit bunches, crude palm oil, palm kernels, crude palm kernel oil, as well as natural rubber, tea, bananas, flowers and foliage.
On top of the overall Award, several sub-awards were granted. In 2019 and for the first time in the Award history, we also included a rotating award. The first rotating Award focused on companies’ communication on specific risks.
